The Long Lens blog: Photography with added snaps, art and culture

The photography site for sore eyes. Featuring: Art, photography, performance and theatre. With extra writing because I'm also a writer.

UCLan’s Fieldwork Photography Forum (featuring performance photography by Garry Cook)

Less than 12 hours after Pub Karaoke Photography Exhibition made it’s debut in Sheffield, I performed it again at the University of Central Lancashire’s Fieldwork Photography Forum (November 2015).

You can read an interview previewing the Sheffield event on Drunken Chorus’ website here. Drunken Chorus organised Drunken Nights IV, which I was part of in Sheffield’s Devonshire Cat pub.

For Fieldwork Photography Forum – a series of serious photography project demonstrations – I performed Outsiders and the second song from my Pub Karaoke Photography Exhibition set, ably assisted again by conceptual artist Claire Doyle.

Here is the poster for the Fieldwork Photography Forum:

(Photographs were taken at the event. I will publish them here if John Aitken from the University of Central Lancashire’s Photography department ever sends me them – he’s ignored my emails since November 17, 2015.) The photo (above) was taken by Claire Doyle.
