The photography site for sore eyes. Featuring: Art, photography, performance and theatre. With extra writing because I'm also a writer.
The Freelance Salon was four speakers talking about new ways of earning income as a freelance journalist. I was one of them.
It took place in central Manchester – Friends’ Meeting House – in May (2016).
The other speakers were Peter Jukes (famous for his hacking trial tweets and crowdfudning campaign), Hina Pandya (ebooks) and David Prior (who has developed a hyperlocal webiste – Altrincham Today – and rolled out the idea as a franchise).
I spoke about photography and journalism, and how to mix it with performance. I did my Outsiders presentation. The audience didn’t know what was going on when I started. I did get a round of applause at the end.
