Edinbugh Fringe 2017 show recommendations

After months of research I came up with some shows to see at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

What you’re about to read here is the list of shows I’ve already booked (and which I’ll be seeing soon). These shows are the ones which have been getting mega reviews or are highly anticipated. Some of them are shows which have been around a while which I have been desperate to see, or are new shows by artists whose work I have seen previously and loved.

That also means that some bloody brilliant shows are not on this list because I’ve already seen them. I’ve added some of these at the bottom of the list as an extra.

I’m particularly looking forward to Eggs Collective, three wonderful performers I’ve seen do stuff separately – but as a trio are at their strongest. This show was in Edinburgh for a short stint two years ago (if I remember rightly) and is soon to be shown live on the BBC.

And I missed A Machine They’re Secretly Building at The Lowry during its tour earlier this year. It looks like a fantastic piece of multi-platform theatre, exactly what I like.

If you’re going to book any of these shows – please double-check they are performing on the date you intend to see them, artists do have days off during the festival.
