The Chit Chat Chalk Show is for kids aged between three and eight. I took my daughter who is five-years-old and she loved it. My son, who is 12, also came along and wrote a review. Here it is:
This is a show you must see. With performers Alice Shepperson, Simon McElligott, Natalie Morrell, Zoe Bradley and Josh Hawkins, the Chit Chat Chalk Show brings to life the emotions which all children have. I love the storyline and how the play relates to children’s real-life issues. I also thought the change of lighting and the colours were amazing.
The storyline is perfect for young children aged three to eight. There was also very good interactions with the youngsters. How the Chit Chat Chalk Show showed the different feelings of main character Kiko in a new way was superb. I liked the addition of the door to the world of the feeling of love and the pretty amazing acting. When the five performers gave the chalk itself to the children… well they loved it! They just loved the show!
When the performers were in the scene of ‘jealousy’ the cast somewhat brought to life what happens daily to all of us.
And it wasn’t just the children who loved it, the parents and grandparents all had smiles on their faces. At the end of this rather magical show, the characters Kiko, Spud, Elle, Iz and Murph gave the children the chalk to write and play with and there was not one sad face!
When the performers needed to tidy up they got all the happy children to tidy up by building a large tower! How efficient!
If you want your kids to see a show they will love, then take them to the Chit Chat Chalk Show.
I give this show a rating of four-and-a-half stars out of five.
